Thursday Thirteen!

I don’t drink, but my characters sometimes do, so I thought I’d do a list a drinks and what they’re made of!

I couldn’t resist throwing in the hot hunk!

1. Beer is made from Malted Barley and Flavored with Hops


2. Bourbon is made from Corn


3. Brandy is made from Fermented Fruit


4. Champagne is made from Grapes from the Champagne Region of France


5. Gin is made from Juniper Berries


6. Liqueur is made from Alcohol Flavored with Fruit, Nuts, Spices, Flowers or Cream


7. Malted Whisky is made from Malted Barley


8. Port Wine is made from Grapes from the Douro Valley in Portugal


9. Rum is made from Sugarcane or Molasses


10. Sherry is made from Grapes from Jerez, Spain


11. Tequila is made from the Blue Agave Plant


12. Vodka is made from Potatoes, Grain, Rye, Wheat, Rice, Grapes or Sugar Beet Molasses


13. Wine is made from Grapes

I had no idea vodka could be made from anything other than potatoes.

I always seem to forget that gin is made from juniper berries. & then I remember why gin isn't the most pleasant smell around.

My hubby works at a winery so I knew some of these. I also saw a show on how they make Tijuana; they bake the agape plant before they squeeze the juice out of it. Apparently it's very sweet that's why it makes great Tijuana.

vodka is funny stuff. I won't get into my prejudices on vodka, as they were instilled by Russians when I was very young. I have strong opinions about vodka. lol.

We aren't big drinkers here, but I often wonder exactly what the ingredients list for, say, Godiva Liqueur would look like.
