My best friend in high school used to collect these sorts of masks, as well as the ceramic "Carnevale" masks. These are really artsy, too!

My parents brought back a beautiful sketch from New Orleans one year that was poster sized and was of a woman with a beautiful mask like those on a stick that she was holding up to her face – they also brought back a ceramic replica of a full face sized one that was painted. I got to keep both items in my bedroom – thanks for reminding me of them!
